Project Title: Two-Post Lift Drive On Adapter

Project Dates: Feb 2003 to Aug 2003

Project Monitor: Air Force MEEP

Project Evaluated: Speedlane, Two-Post Lift Drive On Adapter

Project Results: The Speedlane was tested by technicians at two Air Force installations. The Speedlane was used 100 times (combined) during the test period. operators at both test sites stated the Speedlane performed as advertised with few problems. The Speedlane accomodated 95 percent of the general purpose vehicle fleet.

Problems: The following problems were encountered: The 1987-92 full size Dodge Vans, 1990 model Ford Rangers, and 1997 model F150 Ford Pickup would not fit on to ramps.

Advantages: Less set-up time required for lifting uni-body vehicles and eliminates the need to manually position the swing arms under the frame.

Final MEEP Action: Based on the test results, the Speedlane, manufactured by Mohawk Lifts, LLC., 65 Vrooman Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010, is recommended for Air Force use and adoption. Local purchase is the preferred method of procurement.
